Ladies 1s remain joint top after another fine performance

Ladies 1s 4-0 Ipswich East Suffolk 1s

- Jemma Jackson, Jas Vincent, Charlotte Chubb, Emma Lake

Watton Ladies came out hard from the off against IES. The desire for a win being very evident. After much posession a goal finally came in the form of a magnificent deflection into the corner of the goal by Jemma.

Half time came and Watton knew they were dominating but just needed to score. IES goalkeeper was having a great game and we knew that we needed to put pressure on the second shot. Goal 2 came from Charlotte who did exactly as we discussed at half t...ime getting in the right position and slotting home.

Watton continued to dominate moving the ball round with more confidence. Goal 3 came from some great work from Jasmine, who was being heavily marked. However her quick turn and excellent strike added Wattons third.

Jazmania had a goal disallowed for being just outside the 'D'. Watton then kept up with their pressure on goal securing many short corners... The last goal being from just that and a miss-hit from Jemma at the top of the 'D' gave Emma the chance to nudge it into the corner.... (with none of the magificence of the first goal though!!!)

There were good performances from all especially Lauren with her amazing base line runs and from Emma who won player of the match presumably for her good hunting!!!

Rachael also deserves a mention for her awsome interceptions...'

Ladies 2s 0-7 Lowestoft Railway 1s

A young team headed to Lowestoft to play league leaders Railway 1s. Railway showed there class as there pacey forwards and clinical finished proved to much for the Watton defence a day to forget but a learning curve for the Ladies 2s.

Ladies 3s 0-5 Lowestoft Railway 2s

Another tough day for the Ladies 3s who are still yet to record a point thus far this season. Another young and in-experienced team faced a strong Railway team whose finishing was good enough to record 5 goals during the game, onto next week for the 3s.

Mens 1s 4-5 Ipswich 3s

- Daniel Rix (2), Henry Garner, Simon Jones

The Mens 1s seem to put up a great fight away from home and were unlucky not to pick up something from there battle with the league leaders of Division 5. Goals from Rixy (2), Henry and Simon kept the game a high scoring and entertaining encounter despite the slow pitch, a positive performance from the team despite the defeat.

Mens 2s 2-1 Bury St Edmunds 6s

- Caine Lloyld 2

The Mens 2s made it 3 wins in a row in Division 7NE as they beat Bury St Edmunds 6s at Watton Sports centre. Two well taken goals from Caine Lloyld kept the Mens 2s within the top half of the table.
